Event Schedule at a Glance:

Bretz RV Below Post
  • Thursday, June 6: Public Viewing – 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday, June 7: “Next Steps” Training Clinic with Mustang Matt – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Friday & Saturday, June 7–8: First Come, First Serve Adoption – 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The event will feature 41 animals, including yearlings, burros, and 4–5-year-old geldings. This is for experienced horse people and those simply curious about the adoption process, as this event offers an incredible chance to learn from seasoned trainers and explore the rewarding experience of giving a wild horse or burro a new home.

“By adopting a wild horse or burro, you are helping to maintain healthy rangelands and ensuring that these animals have a sustainable future,” says Patrick Merrill, BLM Montana/Dakotas Wild Horse & Burro Coordinator.

Those interested in adopting are encouraged to apply in advance through the BLM’s Online Corral at wildhorsesonline.blm.gov. For more details on adoption requirements, visit the official BLM adoption flyer.

This event is not to be missed!
