Mountain Men Meet Modern Times at the Montana Fur Harvesters Rendezvous

Step back in time and gear up for the ultimate frontier weekend in Flathead Valley—where mountain men and modern demos come together for one unforgettable rendezvous.

Circle your calendars and pack your coonskin caps—the first-ever Montana Fur Harvesters Rendezvous is rolling into Ronan, Montana on May 16–17, 2025, and it’s shaping up to be a legendary weekend in the heart of the Flathead Valley.

We’re talking two full days of hands-on demos from pros in trapping, long-range shooting, night hunting, and even mountain man living. There’ll be something for everyone—from curious kiddos to long-time houndsmen. But wait, there’s more! You’ll get to rub elbows with cast members from History Channel’s Mountain Men—including Montana’s own Tom and Nancy Oar and a few rugged faces from Alaska, too.

Saturday brings out your wild side with a mountain man dress-up contest (prizes included), axe throwing, and other throwback challenges. They will have food vendors, on-site camping (first come, first served), and plenty of vendors to restock your trap shed before summer hits.

The event officially kicks off Friday, May 16th at 6 a.m. with breakfast, followed by demos throughout the day and a guest speaker banquet that evening. Saturday has a similar schedule, with even more surprises in store.

Want in? Check out montanafurharvesters.com for lodging details, demo lineups, pricing and vendor info.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of Montana history—and maybe even hear the echoes of Jim Bridger or Kit Carson whispering through the pines.
