Protect the Reservoir—One Boat at a Time…

Before you launch that boat—motorized or muscle-powered—make sure it’s been inspected if you’re coming in from out of state. It’s not just a good idea—it’s required. Inspections from Sheridan or any Wyoming inspection station are good to go at Tongue River Reservoir. If you’re in a pinch, park staff might be able to help at the office, but no promises—staffing can be hit or miss. Your best bet? Swing by an inspection station in Sheridan, the Hardin rest area, St. Xavier, or Broadus before you hit the water. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it helps protect the waters we all love.
