Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 4.10.25

Walleye are waking up on Fort Peck—think shallow, slow, and dark if you want to hook into something worth bragging about…

Walleye fishing on Peck has picked up this past week with the warmer temps. Most of our larger fish have been caught in less than 10 feet of water, and the smaller eater size fish have been deeper.

Dark colored jigs and plastics are still doing well for us, and the more stained the water, the darker colors we are using, Keeping baits close to the bottom and working them slowly has been the deal most days.

Water temps in the shallow back bays in the dam area were about 44 on Monday, main lake areas were still sub-40.
