Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 4.3.25

Peck is ice-free, the docks are in, and the fish are waking up—grab your jigs, because it’s time to reel in some action…

Peck is free of ice as of April 1st, and the docks at Flat Lake and Nelson Creek are in.

We have been mainly fishing the dam area, and for the most part, water temps have been 35-37 degrees. Next weeks temps should warm things up and get the fish more active.

We’ve had some good success this past week fishing for smallmouth using 1/4 ounce jigs and 3 1/2 inch white paddletails. The walleye fishing has been decent using darker colored VMC moon eye jigs with swimbaits. 8-15 feet has been the depth we’ve found most of our fish.
