Tongue River Reservoir Update by Tongue River Reservoir State Park 3.24.25

Here is the latest from Tongue River Reservoir State Park..

The Ice still covers 80% of the lake but the wind today is chopping it up slowly. NO BOATS yet, but the bays are opening up and the water level is rising. Shoreline fishing is possible and maybe a little kayaking in the corners.
The lake should be open by April, but it is anyone’s guess. Camping is still first come, first serve until May 16th. Cash or check self pay envelopes. Water and electric will remain off until around May 1st. Dump station is open with no water ($5.00) Marina will open with limited hours sometime in April.
Enjoy the spring!
