Think moose are slow? Think again!

Moose may look like lumbering giants, but don’t be fooled—these hefty creatures can really turn on the speed when needed. Despite their size, they can reach incredible speeds of 35 mph and above on land and even make impressive jumps of up to 10 feet in a single bound. That’s faster than most people can say “moose on the move!” So, while you might think you’re safe at a distance, if you’re ever caught in a moose’s path, you better hope they’re more interested in dinner than a race.
