#MTCorrections offers cow elk hunting opportunities to the public through special access rifle hunting permits on the Montana Correctional Enterprise ranch in Deer Lodge. The drawing for these permits will be held Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Deer Lodge Community Center. Participants must have a 213-01 Elk B license and be present to enter. The only exceptions are youth and out-of-state hunters. If youth or out-of-state hunters can’t be present, they must send a designee (on a one-for-one basis) to enter their name into the drawing.
