Wildlife Resources Division – Georgia DNR made a Facebook post that is a little unsettling.

While tagging an eastern indigo snake during a survey, wildlife tech Matt Moore witnessed something crazy. The 4-foot indigo snake had swallowed and then thrown up two other snakes—a rat snake and a young rattlesnake. The rat snake was done for, but the rattler? It surprised everyone by coming back to life an hour later!

Even more impressive, the rattlesnake had recently eaten a big mouse, adding to this already bizarre event. Nature sure knows how to keep things interesting–and it kind of makes me want to get out there after rattlesnakes.
