There have been some huge salmon caught this year on Fort Peck.  Congratulations to the anglers that were in the right place at the right time!

When you hook a big salmon this year, you better be ready with a good line and good leader.  Unfortunately, the Captain overlooked those two areas.  Remember, you are only as good as your weakest link.  After hooking two big ones in two weeks of fishing, and having them escape because of leader and line breaks, they now call him “Broken Line”.  It appears they were about due to land a big one.

Using an 8-inch chrome/blue flasher and a Black Jaw “Bobcat” Fly, Gary reeled this 16 pounder salmon in at 92 feet by Duck Creek on Monday afternoon.

Now they really have the fever–Black Jaw Fever!
