A recent press release from the National Park Service revealed a disturbing situation that occurred at YNP.
Clarence Yoder of Idaho Falls, Idaho, approached a bison too closely in Yellowstone National Park, leading to an altercation where he kicked the bison. Rangers responded to the incident, arrested Yoder, and charged him with several offenses, including being under the influence of alcohol and disturbing wildlife.
Yoder sustained minor injuries and was treated at a nearby medical facility before being transported to the Gallatin County Detention Center.
Yoder and the driver of the vehicle he traveled in, McKenna Bass, appeared in court and pleaded not guilty.
