Fresno is 23% full. Fishing is fair. For best results in daytime fish the deeper basin areas, if you are having poor success try fishing shallow, 1’-3’ of water in dark times. Tip ups with salted minnows work as well as different jigging technics. Nelson is 76% full. Fishing is good. Northerns are being caught…

Fresno is 23% full. Fishing is fair. For best results in daytime fish the deeper basin areas, if you are having poor success try fishing shallow, 1’-3’ of water in dark times. Tip ups with salted minnows work as well as different jigging technics.

Nelson is 76% full. Fishing is good. Northerns are being caught from 15’ to 5’ on tip ups with live minnows. Walleye and perch are being jigged up in 15’ and deeper. Use your maps and fish the break lines of humps and points. Ice conditions on both reservoirs is good and improving. Be cautious of weather conditions this weekend and be sure/check ice conditions.

Both reservoirs are hosting tournament the last Saturday of January. Good luck.
