Missoula, Mont., October 19, 2023—Beginning today, the Lolo National Forest is accepting applications for 60 permanent seasonal jobs through November 22.

These positions are being filled as forestry aides and technicians who will work in a variety of natural resource and recreation functions and can make a difference by helping to reduce the threat of wildfires, improve habitats for wildlife, decrease the spread of invasive plant species, enhance visitor experiences, and so much more.

These positions are ideal for individuals who are dedicated, hardworking, and committed to protecting and preserving the nation’s forests and natural resources.

Seasonal employment is a great way to begin a lifelong career with the Forest Service and make an impact on managing these landscapes for future generations.

 

Permanent seasonal positions offer a 13/13 schedule, which means employees work 13 pay periods (6 months) generally from May through October and have the remaining 13 pay periods (6 months) off. The positions include competitive salary as well as health & life insurance, retirement benefits, and more.
