The dock at Foy’s Lake was vandalized sometime during the evening of July 11, 2023. Vandals broke the welds and undergirding of the dock, allowing pieces of it to float across the lake. Additionally, the restrooms were damaged: windows were broken, debris from lit fireworks, and a concrete parking barrier was set on top of the bathrooms.

Flathead County Parks and Recreation was alerted to the incident and have already begun retrieving and repairing the docks, no estimated time for completion is available at this time.

The public should avoid the lake and the dock areas today so that workers can begin the repair process.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the scene. Foy’s Lake is a fairly populated area, especially during the summer. Our hope is that someone heard/saw the incident, maybe captured it on a security camera, and will report it to the Sheriff’s Office or Parks and Recreation.

Attached is a photo from the lake.
