Walleye and northern fishing on Fresno is fair. This time of year the water temps are cool and oxygen levels are low. The fish are normally feeding once a day so fish where the fish are. I fish the main lake points on the lower half of the reservoir. Try 10’ to 15’, be set up with jigging rods and tip up by 5pm till 7pm for best results. For normal daytime fishing head deep for big crappie and perch. Nelson is good for walleye and northern. Best time of the day is the low light periods. Use tip ups with live minnows and jig on the point ends and ridges. Perch fishing is slow.
